Clinical knowledge, group facilitation skills, and cognitive congruence are considered important factors for the successful tutoring of Problem Based Learning sessions. In addition, theory Community Practice has become an tool to approach social learning knowledge integration in medical education organizational studies. More research is needed link these two strands research. We look at novice students’ experiences comparative reflections on student-tutors clinician-tutors as facilitators PBL sessions a participatory, randomized cross-over design. Qualitative methodologies were used probe participants. this study, main factor first-year students was creation non-hierarchical atmosphere, which starkly differentiated itself from rigidity structure organized around their hierarchically-imparted knowledge. contrast, more flexible strategy student tutors constructive management “not-knowing” enabled take steps own — they highly appreciative, stressing how it allowed them develop earlier autonomy with regard methodology, manage uncertainty, create shared identity community learners.
